Competing in a pageant can be scary and intimidating. If it’s your first time onstage or your hundredth, you can never get enough practice to prepare. Pageantry at IU wants you to feel comfortable and confident to compete for the title of Miss Indiana University, and to accomplish this we have planned two workshops to hone your skills.
Pageant workshops will be held Sunday Jan. 24 and Sunday Feb. 7. Both workshops will be held at 1p.m. in the Indiana Memorial Union Persimmon Room. On Jan. 24, a representative from Estee Lauder will be giving advice for interview and stage make-up, and on Feb. 7, mock interview will be held. Both workshops will include information about areas of competition, wardrobe, walking patterns, and we will have a Q&A session.
The Miss Indiana University pageant will be held on Feb. 28 in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union. Those interested in competing in the Miss IU Pageant may find information about pageant day here and paperwork here. If you have no interest in competing, but want to help plan this large event on campus may send an email to Teresa White.
