Monroe County Public Library Auditorium served as the venue today for a workshop where IU students prepared for the upcoming Miss Indiana University pageant.

Providing tips and individual feedback, Nicole Pollard, Miss Indiana 2009, helped candidates practice walking and modeling on stage. After discussing the do’s and don’t of interviews, workshop participants took turns fielding questions from a mock judging panel.

Each participant received feedback on strengths and weaknesses, plus strategies for improving her interview skills. Additionally, those attending the workshop received advice on wardrobe selection and resumé writing.

Attendance at the workshop was voluntary. Students not able to attend the workshop are welcome to compete March 27 in the Miss Indiana University pageant.
