Set this date aside: Sunday, Feb. 20 from 1-5 p.m. That’s when Nicole Pollard, Miss Indiana 2009, will lead a workshop for students interested in competing in the Miss Indiana University scholarship pageant on March 27, 2011.
The workshop is open to any student interested in learning more about the Miss Indiana University pageant, including those who have yet to submit competition entry forms.
Nicole, an IU alumna who has also won multiple local titles, will share tips on preparing for the interview and talent portions of a pageant. She will also advise workshop participants on stage presence, giving strategies for walking and turning while on stage. The workshop will wrap up with a question and answer period.
Those interested in attending the workshop must register by noon Feb. 19. Simply e-mail the Miss Indiana University pageant director, Teresa White. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible.
The workshop will take place in the auditorium of the Monroe County Public Library, which is on Kirkwood Avenue within easy walking distance of campus.
